General

An options trading platform is computer software that allows traders to research, analyze, backtest, and develop trading strategies.  Once a trade has been placed, one can monitor, do what-if analysis, get trading alerts, and edit trades.

For new traders, a desktop online trading platform may provide you a better first-time experience. For the trader on the move, you might choose a mobile app or tablet trading app. Advanced traders may use third-party platforms, while algorithmic traders may prefer specialist platforms for automated trading program development.

The best online trading education platforms for individual traders adapt to their needs and expertise. Only paying for advanced tools and data when ready to try advanced options concepts makes it more finically accessible and maximizes gains for motivated stock investors. KubikTrader is revolutionizing learning about options and trading strategies.

As with all stock trading, options trading holds the potential for significant risk. Some people believe options trading carries less risk as they are less susceptible to gap openings and a reliable hedge.

However, options are one of the standard derivative instruments. They, therefore, are also an asset with a valuation that depends on a complex relationship between underlying intrinsic value, time until contract expiration, implied volatility of the market, interest rate, strike price, dividends, demand-supply, and other factors. Since the cost of an option is a combination of all these factors, it is difficult to isolate and manage your risks.

An option is a combination of various factors and relationships; it is difficult to understand and learn options. With an underlying instrument, one can either buy or sell. But, options allow traders to express their exact market forecast of a stock price while also tuning the risk vs. reward.
To do this, active traders combine options in several different ways (known as options strategies). This makes options extraordinarily flexible but also complex to learn.

Yes. For most traders, your start capital depends on their strategy, broker, and their platform fees. It is common for all many platform tools to give access to their entire 2000 instruments and charge thousands of dollars or more. KubikTrader packages allow new traders to learn by paying fewer fees and acquire more data as they grow.

As with any complex skill, you can learn options trading through creating opportunities for continuous practice, in-depth data analysis, and tools that allow for deliberate learning. Those same knowledge and tools are not readily available to even motivated traders. KubikTrader provides institutional-grade expertise and tools to the marketplace.

Broadly speaking, there are two kinds of applications: desktop or web.  Desktop applications require the sofware to be installed on the user’s desktop/laptop.  Web applications don’t need to be installed and are used via a brower.  Options data is voluminous.  Desktop applications can store all the data locally, and repeatedly process massive amounts of data.  KubikTrader brings professional grade tools to the marketplace.  In order to deliver these advanced capabilities we chose the desktop application route.

Traders use many different analytical methods to spot trading opportunities.  Our goal is to support many of these analytical methods within KubikTrader.  This will allow traders to pair their preferred analytical method with options trading.

Yes, KubikTrader can be installed directly on Windows, Mac, or Linux.  You don’t need any other software like virtual machines.
